Mr. 6915 Calls City Code Inspectors – False Accusation – City Inspector arrive at 9:10 AM and leaves at 9:30
This morning I was woken up by my wife saying there is someone outside the driveway gate honking their horn. She was frightened. I put on my robe, and while half awake, went out to see who it was and what they wanted. It was a City Inspector saying that he had a complaint about a sewage problem on our property and asked if he could inspect the property. I said yes, let me get dressed.
I got dressed and the inspector and I walked the property together. We walked around the house and up and down the fence line that separates Mr. 6915’s and our property, 6911.
The inspector indicated that he could not see or smell any sewage. Of course, that’s because there wasn’t any!
This is when I explained to him that other City Inspectors were just out a few days ago for the same reason with the same results. I explained that this is just the neighbor way of is using the city as a weapon to harass us. He said he would make a note of it and I bid him farewell and he went on his way.
Needless to say I wasn’t too happy about being harassed again. I went out into the back yard and made a video walk around to document that there was no sewage on the property. While outside I noticed that Mr. Charles again had his ladder up against the tree. Usually he’s on top of this ladder but not this time. I at least managed to finally get a photograph of the ladder in position which is at least better than nothing.
At this point I know I need to do a better job of documenting this guy’s actions. I have been hesitant to point a camera at his property but I feel like I have no choice at this point. My plan is to mount cameras down low looking up at the fence line so they are basically looking up at the fence into the sky, being careful not to see into but only over the house. With this setup the only time it would see him is if he is at the fence looking into our yard.
After reviewing our front yard video we later found out that Mr. Charles told the City Inspector that we are saving up buckets of dog poop and dumping the buckets of dog poo along the fence line in the backyard which of course is not true. This explains why the inspector wanted to walk the fence line specifically in the back yard today.
If you watch the entire video below you will see the inspector and myself walk from the front yard around to the back yard and back from two camera views.
